Four Victims Wounded at Howe Park Sacramento - Unauthorized Gathering Turns Violent





On April 18 2026, an unauthorized gathering of hundreds of people at Howe Community Park in Sacramento in the Arden-Arcade section of Sacramento ended in a shooting when between 20 and 25 shots echoed through the area as Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies were actively clearing the crowd.

How It Unfolded

At around 6:30 PM on April 18, the SCSO was notified concerning individuals possibly carrying concealed weapons at Howe Community Park. Another caller reported a potential fight and individuals fleeing the scene.

An airship was dispatched and surveyed the area from above but did not locate any active disturbance.

Even so, hundreds of individuals had come together at Howe Community Park for what the sheriff's office identified as an unapproved assembly. Deputies encircled the park, illuminated the area with emergency lights, and gave the crowd approximately 15 minutes commanding the crowd to clear out using public address systems.

While law enforcement cleared the gathering, 20 to 25 gunshots were discharged — causing hundreds to flee in every direction.

Victims of the Shooting

Four victims — a female more info and three male victims, all young adults in their 20s — were transported to area hospitals. Two were treated for immediate injuries, one was classified with moderate injuries, and one suffered injuries classified as minor. All four were listed as stable. The Crime Scene

Arrests and Detentions

Via scanner radio traffic, it was reported that a vehicle connected to the shooting — a Kia automobile — was intercepted in the Solano County area with four people in custody. Sheriff's deputies were heading to Solano County to pick up the suspects and return them to Sacramento County for questioning. Video analysis confirmed that two individuals fired read more weapons.
